Glossy Glamping MagazineGlamping is great with the kids, but for a most romantic break, going glamping when it’s just the two of you must top the bill!

Cosying up together (even better in Autumn when the nights are a bit chilly) in a lovely yurt, or shepherd’s hut – or perhaps a gypsy caravan, who wouldn’t want to give it a try?

So what to think about when choosing your glamping romantic break? You should find glamping accommodation that offers a secluded retreat away from other glampers or camping areas, so that you are not disturbed by noisy children!

There is plenty of glamping accommodation out there that offers the perfect romantic getaway – one that springs instantly to mind has to be the Cabin on the Lake, in Mid Wales, which not only is the most lovely secluded cabin just for two, set in the most beautiful setting…but also has a great hot tub!

Another is this gorgeous gypsy caravan by Hill Side Gypsy Caravan Holidays , near Ludlow in South Shropshire, which offers you a chance to stay in a genuine Romany caravan. As you can imagine, it’s quite small, so there is also a lovely cabin that accompanies the caravan which houses all your creature comforts – brilliant!

And for shepherd’s huts – most are best suited for two, and this one at Upper Rectory near Welshpool is just beautiful. Set in a wild meadow, you are the only glamping on site – bliss! And what’s more, if you don’t fancy doing anything more strenuous than making a cup of tea, you can stroll over to the Upper Rectory Restaurant for your meals!

Then there is Higher Manor Farm, set on the Dorset / Devon borders near Lyme Regis… this is a bit different in that there are a few glamping units available on the site, (2 yurts, a shepherd’s hut & cabin) but these are all couples only, and nicely spaced apart, so you will still get the peace and privacy you would want from a romantic break!
